About Rick Morgan

Rick Morgan joined Cigi in January 2007 and is the Manager of Business Development, working with the Director of Research and Business Development. In this role he explores and negotiates funding and business opportunities for Cigi both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining Cigi, Rick was employed at the Canadian Grain Commission for 13 years as Executive Manager, Business Group. He has also worked in various federal government departments in Winnipeg including Western Economic Diversification, Industry Canada and Indian and Northern Affairs. Rick has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba.

Moderna Alimentos, an Ecuadorian company and a  significant buyer of Canadian wheat for milling, and the CWB, have partnered to bring 10 Moderna Alimentos customers from Ecuador to Cigi for training, August 27-30. At the end of July, 12 flour millers arrived at Cigi from the Grain Silos and Flour Mills Organization of Saudi Arabia (GSFMO). This is the second group that GSFMO has sent to Cigi for training.
