Cigi trains MCGA staff in biodiesel production

Cigi provided hands-on training to staff from the Manitoba Canola Growers Association on the production of biodiesel to help the industry spread the message of renewable fuel from Canadian crops. Cigi has provided hands-on training and support in biodiesel since 2007, having conducted over 80 courses across Canada as well as public demonstrations of biodiesel production at shows such as the Calgary Stampede, Toronto Royal Fair, Manitoba Royal Winter Fair and many others, spreading information to hundreds of thousands of people. This has created an awareness and understanding of the benefits of biodiesel, particularily canola based biodiesel applications. In an attempt to continue this education process, Cigi provided training to  MCGA staff to aid them in their efforts to provide information and training and support to the public, especially school teachers. Reaching the students with accurate information in a fun and entertaining way is the ultimate goal of the course.
