Cigi’s exploration of a new sorting technology that could increase the value of Canadian grains and add cash to farmers’ pockets was discussed by Dr. Rex Newkirk, Cigi’s Director of Research and Business Development, recently on Golden West Radio. Over the next year Cigi is working in collaboration with the University of Saskatchewan to evaluate the Swedish-invented Bomill system that uses chemical characterization to sort grains.
The article, ‘New grain sorting system may improve farmers’ bottom line,’ appeared in the Spring 2012 issue of ‘Cigi.ca’ and was also posted as an item here on Cigi’s website (May 7, 2012).
