Listen to Gina Boux, Cigi pulse area technologist, talk about the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Annual Meeting and Food Expo with Golden West Radio. Gina was at the event in Las Vegas at the end of June with Pulse Canada promoting Canadian pulses in support of the industry and research (also see her web post with photos here in the Pulses section).  In the interview she also discusses the growing interest in pulses as ingredients by food companies which can add greater value to the crops of farmers who grow them.
